2 PH ambassadors get CA panel nod

MANILA, Philippines — A body of the Commission on Appointments (CA) confirmed the nominations of two Philippine ambassadors on Wednesday.

In a hearing, CA’s Committee on Foreign Affairs recommended for confirmation the nomination of Leslie Junio Baja as the Philippine Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco with concurrent jurisdiction over the Republic of Guinea, the Republic of Mali, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Republic of Senegal.

The CA panel also approved the nomination of Raymond Reyes Balatbat as Philippine Ambassador to Lebanon.

Aside from the two envoys, the ad interim appointment of Leandro Luiz Soliven Manantan as Foreign Service Officer, Class II was also recommended for CA approval.
