Calabarzon’s 3rd most wanted felon falls in Quezon province

LUCENA CITY –– One of the most wanted criminals in the Calabarzon region was caught in Infanta town in Quezon province Monday.

Colonel Audie Madrideo, Quezon police chief, identified in a report the arrested fugitive as Barcelo Nebria, 63. He resides in Barangay Abiawin, Infanta.

The reports said Nebria, who has been eluding arrest for the past 15 years, was finally caught by police operatives armed with a warrant of arrest in his house in Abiawin around 4:30 p.m. The suspect did not resist arrest.

Nebria, tagged as number 3 in the Calabarzon police wanted list, has been facing a murder case at the Regional Trial Court Branch 32 in San Pablo City since Feb. 26, 2006, with no bail recommended.

The police said he stabbed to death Laynes Laya in San Pablo City in June 2005.
