4 more COVID-19 deaths bring total in Eastern Visayas to 105
TACLOBAN CITY, Leyte, Philippines – Two more COVID-19 deaths were recorded in Eastern Visayas, bringing the total in the region to 105, according to health authorities.
A 95-year-old woman from Burauen town in Leyte died on Thursday, and a 64-year-old man from Llorente town in Eastern Samar died on Dec.11 at the Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center.
Meanwhile, five of the 18 close contacts of Mayor Alfred Romualdez tested positive for the coronavirus, Tacloban City health officer Dr. Gloria Fabrigas said.
She said only one of them showed symptoms while the other four were asymptomatic.
On Friday, Romualdez posted a photo of himself with a dextrose tube attached to him.
He thanked people who prayed for his speedy recovery.
