PH’s COVID-19 tally now at 448,331; Davao del Norte has highest new cases

MANILA, Philippines — Philippines registered on Saturday 1,301 new cases of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19), raising the total number of infections to 448,331.

Of the total nationwide cases, the Department of Health said 6.7 percent or 30,168 are active cases.

Meanwhile, Davao del Norte topped the list of new infections nationwide. It reported 96 new cases this Saturday.

DOH also reported a total of 409,433 COVID-19 recoveries nationwide. This includes 111 new patients who survived the disease.

Moreover, DOH documented 8,730 total fatalities of the disease, including 35 new deaths.
