P120K worth of crystal meth seized in Bicol drug stings

LEGAZPI CITY –– Anti-narcotics police operatives seized P120,000 worth of suspected crystal meth (shabu) in separate drug stings on Thursday and Friday in Camarines Norte and Albay provinces, a police report said.

In Paracale town in Camarines Norte, the police armed with a search warrant swooped down on the residence of John Ronald Cabate, a high-value meth peddler, in Barangay Poblacion Norte around 2:30 a.m. Friday.

Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said the suspect eluded the raiding operatives, but the police were able to seize 20 grams of shabu from the house.

In Guinobatan town, Jesus Howell Offemaria Realo, 39, was arrested during a drug buy-bust around 11:30 p.m Thursday in Barangay Ilawod.

The suspect, also a high-value target, did not resist arrest. Seized from the possession of Realo was a sachet of shabu.
