Friday weather forecast: Cloudy skies with isolated rains showers

MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains to Northern Luzon, particularly the Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley on Friday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

 Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers especially in the afternoon or evening due to localized thunderstorms, Pagass said in its 4a.m. weather bulletin.

 A similar weather condition is expected to prevail in Visayas and Mindanao. 

 “Para naman sa Visayas at Mindanao, mananatiling bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap ang ating papawirin na may pulo-pulo lamang na thunderstorm o pagkidlat at pagkulog sa hapon at gabi,” Pagasa weather specialist Loriedin Dela Cruz said.

 (In Visayas and Mindanao, there will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.)

Meanwhile, the low pressure area (LPA) being monitored by Pagasa will longer affect the weather condition in any part of the country.

 “Ang magandang balita po dyan ay dahil wala na po itong epekto sa kalupaan, ang kaulapan nitong LPA ay nasa karagatan na at nasa West Philippine Sea na,” Dela Cruz said. 

 (The LPA does not have any effect in the country’s landmass and is now in the West Philippine Sea.) 

 Pagasa earlier said that the LPA is not expected to develop into a tropical depression.

The LPA was last spotted 250 kilometers west of Subic, Zambales, according to the state weather bureau.

Baguio City: 16 to 25 degrees Celsius

Laoag City:  23 to 31 degrees Celsius

Tuguegarao: 23 to 29 degrees Celsius

Legazpi City: 24 to 31 degrees Celsius

Puerto Princesa City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius

Kalayaan Islands: 26 to 30 degrees Celsius

Iloilo City: 26 to 32 degrees Celsius

Cebu City: 24 to 32 degrees Celsius

Tacloban City: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius

Cagayan De Oro City: 23 to 32 degrees Celsius

Zamboanga City: 24 to 33 degrees Celsius
