Hackers breach solicitor general’s website

/ 05:06 AM December 04, 2020

MANILA, Philippines — The website of the Office of Solicitor General (OSG) was breached by a hacker group that identified itself as “Phantom Troupe” on Dec. 1.

The OSG said Phantom Troupe uploaded several files on its portal for online job applications (career.osg.gov.ph).

The unauthorized access resulted in the alteration of the website, which displayed the message: “Stop blackmailing the NTC (National Telecommunications Commission)! Give ABS-CBN provisional authority!” according to the OSG.
