Seniors, accompanied kids aged 10 and up allowed in Cavite malls

MANILA, Philippines — Minors aged 10 years old and above will be allowed inside malls in Cavite as long as they are accompanied by their parents or guardians, Governor Jonvic Remulla said on Thursday.

Meanwhile, senior citizens, or those aged 60 and above, are allowed to enter malls even without a companion.

“Ang mga accompanied minor na puede pumasok ng mall must be 10 and above. Ang mga Senior Citizen (60 up) ay puedeng hindi accompanied sa mall,” Remulla said in a Facebook post.

(Minors who can enter malls as long as they are accompanied by their guardians are those aged 10 years old and above. Senior citizens (60 years old and above) can enter malls unaccompanied.)

Cavite is still under modified general community quarantine, the least restrictive quarantine status imposed by the national government.

Earlier, Interior Secretary Eduardo Año said minors are still prohibited from going to malls in areas under general community quarantine unless local government units come up with their respective resolutions or ordinances.
