AFP names Enriquez new WesCom commander

The Armed Forces of the Philippines has named Rear Adm. Ramil Roberto Enriquez the new commander of the Western Command (WesCom), said Capt. Jonathan Zata, chief of public affairs office. Enriquez replaced Lt. Gen. Erickson Gloria, now the AFP vice chief of staff. Enriquez’ appointment is effective on Nov. 24. “Admiral Enriquez is a well-seasoned naval officer, having commanded several types of commissioned vessels,” Zata said. —Patricia Denise M. Chiu
