Amihan to bring light rains in Northern and Central Luzon — Pagasa

/ 07:31 AM November 23, 2020

MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon or amihan is currently affecting the weather in Northern and Central Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday.

Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said only the northeast monsoon and easterlies or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean are affecting the weather condition in the country as there is no new low pressure area being monitored within and near the vicinity of the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) as of now.

“Kasalukuyan, wala po tayong namo-monitor na panibagong LPA o bagyo sa loob at labas ng ating PAR. Ang nakakaapekto sa bansa ay amihan o northeast monsoon na nasa Northern at Central Luzon. Samantala ang easterlies ay naaapektuhan ang silangang bahagi ng Southern Luzon at ganoon din sa Visayas,” he said in a weather forecast issued by Pagasa at 4 a.m.
