Lawmen arrest high-value drug suspect in Cebu

The Philippine National Police on Thursday said it captured a high-value target in Cebu City, identified as Jeanneth Gadiane Abayan, who had P6.8 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) on her person when she was arrested by the Cebu City police in a buy-bust operation.

Abayan will face criminal cases for her alleged violation of antidrug laws. —PATRICIA DENISE M. CHIU
