MANILA, Philippines — The country is expected to have fair weather with occasional isolated rain showers on Monday after a series of typhoons in recent weeks, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said no low pressure is within or near the Philippine area of responsibility. Instead, the northeast monsoon is affecting the weather condition in northern Luzon.

The northeast monsoon will specifically affect the Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley, according to Pagasa.
“Fair weather po tayo sa Visayas and Mindanao maliban lamang po sa biglaang pagbuhos ng ulan dahil sa thunderstorms,” he said.
