DepEd cancels bidding for ham and cheese supply
Two days after issuing an invitation to bid for the supply and delivery of ham and cheese worth P4.27 million for its central office Christmas celebration, the Department of Education (DepEd) canceled the bidding, saying the funds would be realigned to victims of Typhoons “Rolly” and “Ulysses” and DepEd’s response to the pandemic. “It is inappropriate at this time when our employees are severely affected by recent disasters,” June Arvin Gudoy, public affairs services director, said. “The welfare of our teachers and learners remain to be our priority,” he said. —Nikka G.
