Dog stranded on roof of submerged house reunite with owners
MANILA, Philippines — The dog that got stuck on the roof of a flooded house in Nangka, Marikina City, on Thursday has reunited with its owners.
Bruno, a Labrador dog, got stranded on the roof after his owners were forced to leave him behind as rescuers were prioritizing people.
In a Facebook post on Thursday evening, dog owner Wynona Sta. Maria said her family has reunited with their dog after 14 hours of being separated.
“After 14 hours, we are finally complete. Mama and Papa did not give up on saving Bruno. The rescuers have already given up but my parents risked their lives to rescue our bunso,” Sta. Maria wrote.
“Even though we lost everything, we are still blessed to have our 2nd life. ‘Di bale nang mawala ang mga kagamitan at bahay basta kami ay buhay,” she added.
