MANILA, Philippines — Some local government units canceled classes on Wednesday, Nov. 11 due to the expected effects of the Severe Tropical Storm Ulysses which is expected to hit Quezon province and Polilio Islands.
As of this posting, the following local governments ordered class suspension:

- Camarines Norte — all levels, public and private schools
- Camarines Sur — all levels, public and private schools (suspended until Nov. 15)
- Meycuayan, Bulacan — pre-school to senior high school, public and private schools
- Taguig City — all levels, public and private schools
- Parañaque — all levels, public and private schools
- Pasig City — all levels, public and private schools
- Manila City — all levels including graduate school, public and private schools
- Makati City — all levels, public and private schools
- Marikina City — all levels, public and private schools
- Mandaluyong — all levels, public and private schools
- Muntinlupa — all levels, public and private schools
- Quezon City — pre-school to senior high school, public and private schools
- Las Piñas — all levels, public and private schools
- Valenzuela — all levels, public and private schools
- Pasay — all levels, public and private schools
Meanwhile, the management of University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City ordered the suspension of online classes.
The university, likewise, directed its faculty members to postpone deadlines due to possible power and telecommunication service interruption during the onslaught of the severe tropical storm.
Weathermen earlier raised Signal No. 2 over some parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila, Camarines Norte, and Bulacan.
