PhilHealth eyes 133 free dialysis sessions a year

Dialysis patients could get additional sessions from Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) under a proposal from its president, Dante Gierran. Gierran will seek board approval for his proposal to increase covered dialysis sessions from 90 days to 133 sessions a year, according to presidential spokesperson Harry Roque. Dialysis patients would also get cash assistance from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, he said.—LEILA B. SALAVERRIA
