‘Nanlaban’ in Naga City: Suspect killed in buy-bust operation

LEGAZPI CITY—A drug suspect was killed by what police said was a clash during a buy-bust operation in Naga City, Camarines Sur province on Tuesday (Nov. 10).

MSgt Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said suspect Francis Pesimo was target of the buy-bust mission and fired his gun during the buy-bust operation.

This prompted police to shoot back during the mission at the village of Pacol past midnight. Pesimo was dead on thespot.

An undercover policeman was supposed to buy a sachet of crystal meth, or shabu, for P15,000 from Pesimo.

Police found a .38 caliber revolver believed used by Pesimo, who was on the police’s list of suspected drug traffickers.
