Tricycle driver shot dead in Cotabato town

PIKIT, COTABATO – A tricycle driver was waylaid and shot by two unidentified gunmen in Poblacion village, Pikit town, Cotabato province at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8.

Police Captain Mautin Pangandigan, Pikit chief of police, said Homidei Dadtugan Omar, 34 and resident of Pikit’s Lagunde village, was driving his tricycle when he was shot by the two unidentified gunmen.

Omar later died in a nearby hospital where he was rushed for treatment.

Responding policemen recovered two spent shells of a caliber .45 pistol from the crime scene.

Pangandigan said they were still trying to determine the identities of the gunmen s and the motive behind the shooting.
