8 more flights to Caticlan cancelled; passengers rebooked to Kalibo flights
MANILA, Philippines—Eight more domestic flights to Caticlan, home of the tourist magnet Boracay beach in Aklan, and back to Manila were cancelled Thursday afternoon, but the passengers were rebooked to other flights, this time bound for Kalibo, Aklan.
In an advisory, Cebu Pacific said that its Manila-Caticlan-Manila flights 5J 911/912, 5J 917/918, 5J 903/904 and 5J 905/906 were cancelled also due to bad weather.
The carrier assured the public that affected passengers were accommodated into three additional flights bound for Kalibo on Thursday afternoon, too.
The additional flights to Kalibo are 5J 333, which left at 6:45 p.m.; 5J 335, which left at 5 p.m.; and 5J 341, which left at 3:45 p.m.
The eight cancellations were aside from Thursday morning’s cancellation of flight 5J 901/902, also bound for Caticlan and back to Manila.
