Used luxury cars worth P20M seized
MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) seized an allegedly smuggled cargo of secondhand luxury cars worth some P20 million at Manila International Container Port (MICP).
The shipment was intercepted on Oct. 20 at MICP by the customs intelligence and investigation service.
According to the BOC, the shipment, which was imported by Blue Core Enterprises, arrived on Oct. 16 and was initially declared as furniture. But the container was found to contain a Porsche sports car, a Bentley luxury car, a Mercedes Benz sports car and a dismantled Volkswagen, the BOC said.
