Legazpi mall warehouse fire leaves P58M in damage

LEGAZPI CITY –– A fire that razed a mall warehouse and convention center in this city on Sunday night caused damage estimated at P58.8 million, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.

Fire Senior Supt. Renato Capuz, director of BFP Bicol, said the blaze struck the three warehouses of the LCC Department Store and the Concourse Convention Center in Barangay Baybay around 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1.

“The warehouses were damaged because of the merchandise made of combustible materials,” Capuz said.
