3 missing fishermen found  dead in Catanduanes

LEGAZPI CITY — The bodies of the three fishermen reported missing at the height of Typhoon “Quinta” (international name: Molave) were found in the waters off Bato, Catanduanes on Tuesday.

Captain Ariel Buraga, chief of town police, said Romeo Torillos Sr., 44, and his son, Romeo Jr., 19, were found at Sacahon Beach in Barangay Bote around 11 a.m.

Buraga said both victims’ remains were already decomposing.

At around 1 p.m., the body of Luisito Tallada, 15, was also found floating in Barangay Pananaogan.

They were all residents of Barangay Peñafrancia in Gigmoto town who went fishing last Oct. 22.

Buraga said two other fishermen identified as Jomar dela Concepcion, 22, and Roberto dela Concepcion, 39, from the same town, were still missing.
