COVID-19 death toll in Bulacan climbs to 218
CITY OF MALOLOS –– The number of deaths related to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) reached 218 in Bulacan as of Sunday, officials said.
Dra. Jocelyn Gomez, Bulacan provincial public health office head, said some of the recent fatalities were elderly patients aged 57 to 82 years old.
Gomez said 50 of the fatalities were old cases that were reported to her office only recently.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the province has climbed to 8,000 since the pandemic began, she said.
At least 30 to 35 new COVID-19 cases were being recorded in Bulacan daily since the start of October. These were lower than the previous 50 to 100 daily cases recorded last month.
