Jobless to get free bikes for delivery services

/ 05:12 AM October 23, 2020

Workers who lost their jobs or livelihood because of the pandemic could get free bicycles from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) if they want to become delivery riders.

Director Karina Perida-Trayvilla of the Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns said the DOLE has teamed up with delivery service provider Grab, LalaFood and LalaMove for the project where beneficiaries would be trained on bike use and provided with cell phones, insulation bags, helmets, reflectorized vests and bicycle racks. —LEILA B.
