MANILA, Philippines — Operations of the Pasig Ferry Service remain suspended on Thursday due to a “high volume” of water hyacinths along Pasig River, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said.
“Operations of Pasig River Ferry are still suspended due to high volume of water hyacinths along Pasig River,” the agency said in a Viber message to reporters.
The Pasig Ferry Service was suspended starting Tuesday due to tropical storm Pepito, which caused Metro Manila to be placed under Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1.
However, Signal No. 1 was lifted from Metro Manila on Wednesday morning.
