MANILA, Philippines A joint operation by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) collared an alleged “high-value target” in San Francisco Del Monte, Quezon City, on Tuesday night.

Police identified the suspect as Jomari Basilio, 23. He was arrested during a buy-bust operation, in which an operative who posed as a buyer was able to close a deal with the suspect for P100,000-worth of marijuana.

According to police, Basilio was found in possession of 11.3 kilograms of marijuana, amounting to P1,356,000. Police added that a cellular phone, a digital weighing scale, and the buy-bust money were likewise seized from the suspect.

Basilio is being held for violation of The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165), police said. Miggy Dumlao, trainee, INQUIRER.net
