Quarantine passes no longer required in Cavite malls
MANILA, Philippines — Quarantine passes are no longer required for mall goers in Cavite as the local government imposes guidelines during a least restrictive community quarantine, Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla revealed Wednesday.
“Q-PASS REQUIREMENTS FOR MALLS ARE NOW SUSPENDED. Yehey! Puede na magliwaliw. Just present an official government or school ID showing the ages 15-65 years old,” Remulla said in a Facebook post.

The governor, however, mandated that mall goers have three hours to visit the establishment.
“Ngunit may 3-hour limit tayong ibibigay. Mag-ingat ng husto sa paglibot. (We gave them a three-hour limit. Take extra caution when visiting malls.) Wear a mask, face shield, frequently wash and sanitize your hands. Most importantly, continue maintaining social distancing protocols,” he said.

Cavite previously required quarantine passes when going outside to restrict the movement of its residents to suppress the transmission of the coronavirus disease.
Last week, the national government relaxed its quarantine guidelines, allowing persons aged 15 to 65 years old to go out during the community quarantine.
Meanwhile, the governor reminded that curfew hours remained from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. Frontliners, employees and government officials are excluded from the curfew.
He also warned penalties for those who will violate their rule of limiting karaoke and videoke sessions from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
“Hanggang walang umaangal na kapitbahay dahil sa ingay ay puede bumirit mula 5pm-8pm. After that, warning, aresto, multa at kaso na ang aabutin ninyo,” he said.
(Unless none of your neighbors are complaining about your noise, you can have videoke sessions from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. After that, you will face warning, arrest, fines and cases.)
Cavite is under modified general community quarantine for the whole month of October to reopen the economy and control the spread of new COVID-19 cases.
According to the Department of Health’s COVID-19 tracker, Cavite logged 19,291 total COVID-19 cases, 16,521 recoveries and 171 fatalities.
