MANILA, Philippines — Col. Angela Rejano has been named the chief of Malabon police and the first-ever female police chief in the history of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).

Rejano took the reins from her predecessor, Col. Jessie Tamayao, during a turnover ceremony on Oct. 15, witnessed by Malabon Mayor Antolin Oreta III.

NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas said Rejano had the “virtue of qualifications and experiences that will greatly result in the continuity of the [Malabon police station’s] great transformation.”
