SC OKs consolidation of all Dengvaxia cases
The Supreme Court has granted the petition of the parents of some children who allegedly died after they were inoculated with the dengue vaccine Dengvaxia to consolidate all the criminal cases filed against former and incumbent health officials.
The Public Attorney’s Office (PAO), which represented the victims’ families, received a copy of the decision only on Thursday, PAO chief Persida Acosta said on Friday.
In a two-page notice, the high court’s First Division directed the executive judge of the Regional Trial Court of Quezon City to “cause the raffle of the … cases to a single branch of family court for further proceedings within three days from receipt of the case records.” —Marlon Ramos
