PH COVID-19 tally reaches 336,926; more than 54k active cases

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday reported 2,249 more patients stricken by the coronavirus disease, raising the nationwide tally to 336,926.

In its 4 p.m. case bulletin, the health department said 54,594 total active cases were also documented.

However, 87 more COVID-19-infected patients perished, bringing the nation’s death toll to 6,238.

A total of 842 individuals also survived the respiratory disease, increasing the total sum of recoveries to 276,094.
