CITY OF ILAGAN –– Two boys, a 3-year-old and a 13-year-old, were among the 33 new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in this city, authorities said.

Most of the cases were recorded in the villages of Bliss, Malalam, Baligatan, Naguilian Baculud Sur, Naguilian Baculud Norte, Calamagui 2nd, Naguilian Sur, and Santa Barbara.

Mayor Josemarie Diaz said a teacher was the source of the infection in Barangay Naguilian Baculud Sur.

Due to the spike of COVID-19 cases in the city, Gov. Rodolfo Albano III has issued an executive order imposing a modified enhanced community quarantine here from Oct. 6 to Oct. 16.
