Cagayan town placed on 14-day MECQ

ENRILE, Cagayan –– This town was placed under modified enhanced community quarantine for 14 days to contain the surging cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), officials said.

In his executive order, Mayor Miguel Decena Jr. said the stricter quarantine would start at midnight on Oct. 7 until midnight of Oct. 20. The town was previously on modified general community quarantine status

Records from the health office showed that the town has 30 active COVID -19 cases, 13 of them recorded in the past two days.

A liquor ban is imposed, while mass gatherings are prohibited as part of the tougher quarantine protocols. Religious gatherings are also restricted to five people.
