8 alleged drug pushers fall in Bicol stings

LEGAZPI CITY — Eight alleged notorious illegal drug pushers were arrested on Monday in separate drug stings in Albay and Camarines Sur provinces, a police report said Tuesday.

Some 27 sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth) were recovered in the anti-illegal drug operations, according to Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson.

In Pioduran, Albay, Marcelino Millabas, 37, was caught selling four sachets of shabu in Barangay (village) Buenavista at around 6:05 p.m.

In Ligao City, police arrested Allan Reamucio, resident of Barangay Tinago, for allegedly selling shabu in Barangay Tuburan at around 5:26 p.m. The suspect yielded three sachets of shabu.

In Nabua, Camarines Sur, Regino Sernal, 39, of Barangay Topas Sugod was arrested in a drug operation in Barangay Inapatan, at around 7:20 p.m. At least four sachets of shabu were seized from the suspect.

In Milaor town, also Camarines Sur, Arden Lopez of Barangay Del Rosario was arrested and yielded two sachets of shabu in a drug operation in Barangay San Jose at around 12:20 p.m.

In Pili town, police arrested Elaine Arañes, 36, of Barangay Himaao, and Patrick John Chu, 38, resident of Caloocan City.

The suspects yielded six sachets of shabu at a police drug operation at around 3:40 p.m. in Barangay Himaao.

In Pasacao town, Ramon Francisco, 39 of Barangay Pamukid in San Fernando town, was caught reportedly selling shabu to an undercover agent in a drug operation at around 2:30 p.m. in Barangay Sta. Rosa Del Norte. The suspect yielded eight sachets of shabu.

The suspects were placed under police custody and are facing charges for possession and trading of illegal drugs.
