MANILA, Philippines — The Armed Forces of the Philippines’ No. 3 official bowed out of the service on Saturday. Lt. Gen. Antonio Ramon Lim, AFP deputy chief of staff, relinquished his post after 38 years of service to Rear Adm. Erick Kagaoan in rites held at Camp Aguinaldo.

Lim is a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1986 and began his career in the Philippine Air Force, earning his wings in 1988.

Before he became deputy chief of staff, Lim was inspector general and was the Air Force’s air defense command chief.
