2 suspected drug peddlers nabbed in separate Lucena busts

LUCENA CITY – Two suspected drug pushers were arrested in separate buy-busts operations here early Wednesday.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, reported that anti-narcotic agents collared Anna Marie Dayto, 32, after she sold P500 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a plastic sachet in a drug deal in Barangay (village) 10 around 7:50 a.m.

Dayto yielded six plastic sachets of shabu, police said.

Meanwhile, police also arrested Michael Orig, 34, in another drug sting operation in Barangay Ibabang Iyam at 6 a.m.

Authorities seized from the suspect, a former drug convict and included in the police list of street-level drug pushers in this city, at least 14 plastic sachets of shabu.

The suspects are now detained at the city police jail and are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
