A 33-year-old man has been arrested for murdering the 10-month old baby of his girlfriend in Oklahoma, USA.

Officers last Friday, Sept. 25, responded to the report of a child in medical distress at the Mercy Minor Clinic in Yukon, the Oklahoma City Police Department disclosed on Facebook yesterday, Sept. 28.

They found the victim, baby girl Paisely Cearley, with critical injuries. Her mother took her to the said hospital, where she died the following morning.

Joshua Jennings was first arrested on a complaint of child abuse, which has since been amended to first-degree murder following the baby’s death, as per NBC affiliate KFOR-TV yesterday.

The baby was allegedly abused in the couple’s apartment by Jennings, according to the police.

Jennings apparently advocates online against physical and sexual abuse of children, tagging his Facebook posts with “#SaveOurChildren.”

Police told the television station that the doctor noted that “there’s no way the injuries [of the baby] could have occurred accidentally.” Ian Biong
