Ombudsman suspends 5 Manila village execs

MANILA, Philippines — Five erring Manila barangay officials were suspended on Monday for grave misconduct, serious dishonesty and abuse of authority.

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso implemented the suspension order issued by the Office of the Ombudsman for their offenses while in their posts.

Suspended were Barangay 123 Chair Mario Banal, Barangay 11 Chair Leonard Recto, Barangay 449 Chair Romeo Garcia, Barangay 418 Chair Jonas Bartolome and Barangay 283 Chair Niño Anthony Magno.
