Clark agency’s employees to get free swab tests

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO –– All 113 employees of the state-owned Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) would get free swab tests to keep the workplace safe from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the agency’s head said.

Aaron Aquino, CIAC president, said P600,000 has been allowed for the tests, which would be done every three months.

“We were able to realign (the budget) to have our people tested free to ensure the health and safety of our personnel, which will also benefit their families and communities. To ascertain one is COVID-free [brings] peace of mind, something everyone needs to continue being productive at work,” Aquino said in a statement on Wednesday.

Aquino said he issued an additional set of guidelines, including the continuation of two batches of skeletal staff reporting for work, the daily check-up of employees by in-house nurses, the prohibition of large group gathering, and the setting up of a client transaction area.
