Anti-maskers staged a flash mob inside a Target store in Florida, USA, as they danced to the song “We’re Not Gonna Take It” to protest against the health protocol imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Video of the protest has taken the internet by storm when it surfaced on Reddit and Twitter, reaching thousands of people since yesterday, Sept. 16.
The group of demonstrators, wearing “Make America Great Again” shirts and hats, can be seen dancing and parading, yelling at people with face masks on to “take it off!” One woman from the group can also be heard shouting, “We’re not going to take it anymore!”

Both adults and children took part in the protest, as seen in the clip shared by Twitter user @davenewworld_2. The tweet has since gained over 55,000 likes, 11,000 retweets and 61,000 quote tweets, as of this writing.
The maskless flash mob occurred in the city of Fort Lauderdale in Broward County, where it is mandated to wear face coverings in public spaces, such as establishments.
The said retail chain, which also requires shoppers to wear face masks, said they made the protesters leave when they removed their masks and “became disruptive and rude to other shoppers,” as per HuffPost yesterday.
One of the participants of the flash mob, Cristina Gomez, meanwhile, livestreamed the event on her Facebook account. The livestream begins with a man giving a speech against masks, in which he proclaims Sept. 15 as “the day we say goodbye to wearing masks.”
The man argued that “if someone wants to wear a mask and go to a grocery store, then let them wear a mask. But, how is it that if their mask is working, that I have to wear one too?”
This is not the first time Gomez went viral, however, as she also took over the internet in June for her public speech against face masks, claiming that these were “literally killing people.”
“Every single one of you that are obeying the devil’s laws are going to be arrested and you, doctor, are going to be arrested for crimes against humanity,” she said in the speech, a clip of which was shared also on Twitter by former NBA player Rex Chapman on June 25.
