1 killed, 1 hurt in Isabela road mishap

NAGUILIAN, Isabela — A bakery helper died on the spot while his cousin sustained injuries when their motorcycle slammed into a sports utility vehicle here on Saturday night, police said.

Investigators said the fatality identified as Lawrence Lorenzana was driving the motorcycle with his cousin, Jonel Lorenzana, who was riding at the back when they figured in the accident along the national highway in Barangay San Manuel around 8:50 p.m.


The car driven by Jeffrey Mata, a service facility assistant in a telecommunications firm, surrendered to the police.

Police said Mata was cruising in the south direction when he accidentally hit the victims’ motorcycle.
