Pasig public school students, teachers to get tablets, laptops by October
MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Pasig is set to distribute next month tablets and laptops to public school students and teachers, respectively, in a bid to help them comply with requirements of distance learning amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto said the tablets for students and laptops for teachers are expected to be delivered by Sept. 30, days before the 2020-2021 school year opens, and will be given to students and teachers starting October 1.
“Delivery of TABLETS to the city scheduled for Sept. 30 (may penalty silang milyon kung ‘di nila mabigay sa takdang oras). Ibig sabihin matatanggap ng mga mag-aaral ang tablet nila Oct.1 onwards,” Sotto wrote.
