Central Visayas cop exec to stay put in post until ‘further notice’
CEBU CITY –– A day after he was ordered to vacate his post, the director of the Central Visayas police said he would continue to perform his functions “until further notice” from higher-ups.
Brigadier General Albert Ignatius Ferro said he was asked by Philippine National Police chief Camilo Cascolan to stay for a while.
“I will stay put and wait for further instructions,” he said.
Ferro was supposed to be replaced by Brigadier General Jonnel Estomo today, September 9.
But Ferro said no turnover would happen yet.
“The guidance of the chief PNP was for those who have been more than one year to go for a higher position. And I’m only seven months and three days today,” he said.
