Motorcycle-riding gunmen shoot cop dead in QC
MANILA, Philippines — A police officer was killed on Saturday when two gunmen on a motorcycle shot him in Barangay Culiat, Quezon City.
A report from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) identified the victim as Police Lt. Samad Baharan, who was assigned at the Police Community Affairs Development Group (PCDAG) in Camp Crame.
According to the police report, at 9:15 a.m., a witness saw Baharan on board his motorcycle when the unidentified suspects appeared and shot him. The gunmen hurriedly fled the scene after the shooting.
Initial examination conducted by the Scene of the Crime Operatives showed that Baharan sustained multiple gunshot wounds on his body.
QCPD Police Director Brig. Gen. Ronnie Montejo has ordered an investigation of the shooting.
