MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country will have fair weather on Wednesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), but with chances of isolated rainshowers.
According to Pagasa weather specialist Meno Mendoza, the entire Luzon will have a fair weather condition but isolated rain showers may be experienced especially in the afternoon or evening.
“Nakakaapekto pa rin ang southwest monsoon sa hilaga at gitnang Luzon, kaya para sa magiging lagay ng panahon sa araw na ito, patuloy pa ring magiging maaliwalas ang ating panahon dito sa buong Luzon. Asahan pa rin na posibleng magkaroon ng pulu-pulong pag-ulan, pagkidlat, at pagkulog lalo na pagdating ng hapon o gabi,” he said in a 4 a.m. weather forecast.
(The southwest monsoon is still affecting the weather in Northern and Central Luzon, so for today, the entire Luzon will have fair weather. However, we can still expect isolated rain showers and thunderstorms especially in the afternoon or evening.)
The Visayas will have hot and humid weather, but isolated rain showers may also occur in the region in the afternoon or evening.
Meanwhile, Mindanao will have fair weather with possibilities of isolated rain showers also due to localized thunderstorms, according to Mendoza.
Pagasa is currently monitoring a tropical storm with the international name “Haishen” outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. It was last spotted 2,235 kilometers east of extreme northern Luzon.
