Two men shot in Lapu-Lapu
TWO men were shot and wounded by an unidentified perpetrator last Saturday night in barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City.
Juanito Lerin, 42, was shot in the thigh while Rio Lorata, 25, was hit in the back. Both were rushed to the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital.
Police initial investigation revealed that the victims were having a drinking session near Lerin’s home when a man approached them and asked about the whereabouts of a certain “Lando.”
Police said that while the three were talking, the stranger suddenly pulled out a handgun and shot them so they ran away.
Police said the man then boarded a waiting motorcycle from a distance.
Police said the victims claimed they were victims of mistaken identity.
