Workers, medical frontliners exempted from unified curfew in Metro Manila

MANILA, Philippines — Workers or authorized persons outside of residence (APOR) are exempted from the unified curfew from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. in Metro Manila.

This was agreed upon by Metro Manila mayors, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) General Manager Jojo Garcia said in an online Palace briefing.

(In terms of curfew, APOR or authorized persons outside residence are exempted.)

(Let’s say a business establishment is open until 10 p.m., workers went overtime, they may present their ID and they will not be apprehended. The mayors have agreed to this)

Garcia noted that the unified curfew shall mostly be followed by those in the residential areas.

“Pero of course yung ating mga manggagawa, lalo na ang ating medical frontliners, yan po ay exempted,” he added.

(But of course, our workers especially our medical frontliners are exempted.)
