Tejero shooting

A 26-year-old man was shot dead in Villagonzalo Dos, barangay Tejero, Cebu City, last Friday.

Pablo Omar  was shot in the head and brought to a Cebu City hospital where he died.

Initial police investigation revealed that the victim was playing coin toss or hantak around 4 p.m. when Alfredo “Elyong” Gagani Jr. arrived and shot him several times in the head.

The suspect fled after the incident.

Homicide investigator PO3 Geoffrey Gutual said revenge could be the motive of the killing since the victim’s friends mauled Omar’s group recently.

Fetus Found

An estimated five-month-old fetus placed inside a plastic bag was found dumped in a river in barangay Capitol Site, Cebu City, Friday.

Capitol Site barangay councilor Kelly Quillada informed the police after a female resident found it stuck in a wooden barrier in the river past 2 p.m.

Police said the current might have carried the fetus to the area.

Police are investigating the incident to identify who dumped the fetus./correspondent chito aragon

Stabbing in Mandaue

A 21-year old man was stabbed and wounded by his neighbor in barangay Labogon, Mandaue City, last Friday afternoon.

Floro Villaflor of sitio Fatima was rushed to Mandaue City Hospital for a stab wound in his left chest. He was later transferred to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center because of his critical condition.

Police initial investigation revealed that the victim was fetching gravel around 3:35 p.m. when the suspect attacked him with a kitchen knife without any provocation.

The victim sought help while the suspect fled.

The victim’s brother, Anthony Villaflor, reported the incident to the police.
