Mall in Cagayan de Oro stops warehouse sale due to breach of health protocols

MANILA, Philippines — A mall in Cagayan de Oro temporarily stopped its warehouse sale on Saturday after some customers supposedly violated minimum health protocols while lining up there.

“Due to the unexpected number of shoppers of The Warehouse Clearance Sale, some safety health protocols were not observed. Please be advised that our management have temporarily stopped the said activity at the Atrium which was thereafter seconded and approved by the City government,” Limketkai Center said on its official Facebook page.

Mall officials will still meet with the city government to talk about the alleged breach of health protocols in the establishment.

Foreign Affairs Secretary  Teodoro Locsin Jr. also called the attention of the Inter-Agency Task Force on a tweet shared by a netizen about a photo of the mall which was allegedly crowded with customers.

To date, the Philippines has logged a total of 157,918 cases of coronavirus disease with 72,209 recoveries and 2,600 deaths.
