Cops nab 2 Chinese men for ‘torching’ Chinese trader in Angeles City
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO –– Two Chinese businessmen have been arrested by the Angeles City police in connection with the killing and burning of a Chinese businessman on Aug. 11.
Huang Zhi Jie, 23, was apprehended in a hotel in Barangay Balibago in Angeles City, while Yang Lu Lin was nabbed in Barangay Alabang in Muntinlupa City at separate times on Thursday, said Col. Joyce Patrick Sangalang, Angeles City police chief.
Sangalang said Huang identified the victim as Feng Liu, 30, also a businessman. Liu was burned to death at the back seat of a Toyota vehicle.
Closed-circuit television footage taken at the Sapang Bato gate in Clark helped in the investigation.
Police on Friday brought the two suspects to the city prosecutors’ office for robbery with homicide and arson charges. The motive was not yet known.
