FEATURED STORIES

Based on the initial results of a necropsy test, the whale may have drowned since its lungs were “frothy” upon incision.

Tissue samples were taken from the whale to determine its cause of death.

The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species on Flora and Fauna (CITES) II considered spinner whales as among the protected species.
